Jörg PIKOLIN joined the PRC in 2025 as the focal point for environment.
Jörg Pikolin brings over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry.
He began his career as a pilot at Lufthansa and, alongside his early flying years, studied economics and management which led to his first management role in Lufthansa’s Corporate Strategy department. He went on to hold a variety of leadership positions across the Lufthansa Group including Lufthansa Cargo, Lufthansa Systems, and Lufthansa Airlines in both Frankfurt and London.
After serving as Head of Innovation, Operational & Environmental Efficiency for Lufthansa Airlines, he transitioned to the role of Head of ATM Development and Regulatory Management for the Lufthansa Group, a position he has held for the past seven years. In this capacity, he has been deeply engaged with the ATM community at both national and international levels, leading him to become among others Vice Chair of Eurocontrol’s NDTECH and Chair of IATA’s Regional Coordination Group Europe. His focus has been on driving the development and deployment of Europe’s ATM modernization and strengthening the Airspace User’s perspective in the SESAR Joint Undertaking, the SESAR Deployment Manager, and other industry bodies.
Alongside his management career, Jörg has continuously maintained his pilot license and has served for twenty years as a Captain on Lufthansa’s A320 fleet. In 2002, he co-founded a company, acting as COO, and successfully developed it into a global enterprise.
